Dig for your own diamond

Hunt for real diamonds and keep any you find!

At the Crater of Diamonds State Park in Murfreesboro in Arkansas it’s finder’s keepers. The only public diamond mine in the world offers plenty of diamonds waiting to be discovered. About 20,000 diamonds have been found since the mine opening in 1972.

About two diamonds a day are found by visitors each day and not all diamonds have been small. A large diamond found at the Diamond Crater was the Amarillo Starlight with 16.37 cararts in 1975. Before the mine was publicly opened an even larger stone was found: the Uncle Sam diamond with 40.23 carats in 1924.
